DESCRIPTION
start your morning with a healthy dose of web nostalgia :) this mug features the iconic 'bliss' (image originally taken by Charles O'Rear) desktop of windows XP. the mug itself is hand-built using a white stoneware claybody and painted using underglaze. the airbrushed background is unglazed leaving the raw fired clay texture, and the pop-up windows are clear glazed with a satin blue border. The handle is a smooth, satin matte white, and the inside of the mug is a glossy chartreuse. the bottom is sanded smooth to not scuff your table.
*note: 10% off because there is a small hairline crack in bottom interior, less than a centimeter long. its been glazed over and tested for absorption. it's still foodsafe & functional :)
DETAILS
disclaimer:
my mugs are individually hand-built without the use of a mold, meaning each mug will vary in size and shape. i love ceramics because of clay's ability to fossilize the process of making the object, and my process is based on play and embracing imperfection. i do my best to accurately display the mug via the photos in each listing. be sure to check the dimensions and sizes to ensure you’ll be happy with your functional clay object :)
