clay.obj is an extension of artist Margaret Kammerer’s studio practice that focuses on small-scale, often functional work and sculptures (or clay objects). Kammerer is based in the southern Ohio/northern Kentucky region and is currently an artist in residence at Queen City Clay, where she teaches and further develops her practice.

Each piece is hand built, often by coiling or pinching clay, and hand painted with imagery referencing internet memes, popular culture, and humor. They are made with the intention of celebrating the mundane moments of day to day life.
